F. A. Q.

DSR oh DSR!
This of course, is specific to me. Feel free to adapt it and use it as you like.
The general idea is to show the Buyer what this DSR really means. Nothing else.
The more Buyers we keep informed, the better this place will be.

Thank you for your purchase!
I hope the transaction was as pleasant for you, as it was for me.

Now, beside feedback, eBay is asking you to rate me, the Seller, accurately.

Please remember, same as leaving feedback, rating a Seller is also optional.
You don't have to do it if you are not fully comfortable with the idea.

Please check your item and compare it to the description.
Please check the postmark for Shipping date and Postage cost.

Everything as I promised?
Let's start:
- Do you think the item description was good? Yes.
- The communication was good? Yes, of course. No singing telegrams.
- Stamps-only shipping charge was good? You bet!
- Next-day shipping time was good? Just as promised, very good!
- And I, the Seller, left feedback for you as soon as I mailed your parcel.
That's good, isn't it? Yes it is!

If you're satisfied, how would you rate me then?
eBay considers anything less than 5 stars to be a dissatisfied Buyer.
That's the bottom line.

In other words:
- 5 stars equals a positive experience.
- 4 stars or less, signifies a negative, dissatisfactory experience.

How would you rate me?

Thank you.

Jerry

Why did I write the above?
See the 2 statements I quoted from the Discussion Boards. These are just a sample of how the DSR ratings are misunderstood.
"I never left a 5 as I thought that was for something perfect and I did not understand that if a sellers DSR fell below 4.2 they would get sanctions. I could understand using 3 as a benchmark number."
"seller sends note that i have to leave 5 stars !
Hi i bought an item now i found a note in the mailed box that says.
leave us FIVE STARS eBay positive feedback
4 stars (OR BELOW) would put us at the bottom 10% of eBay sellers.
this doesn't sound right to me. "
